Born in Japan and raised outside Chicago, I have been a compulsive scribbler since age 12, filling suitcases with stories and rants. This led naturally to work as a writer, editor, reporter, and columnist for publications including the Oakland Tribune and the Honolulu Advertiser, as well as magazines such as Sierra, New Mexico Magazine, and Santa Fe Trend. While living in Albuquerque I founded a tabloid publication for animal-lovers called The Bosque Beast. A snapshot from my working past can be found at my former website.

Since 2018 I have been scribbling for myself, while pursuing a growing list of extracurricular passions including bicycling, figure skating, cooking, knitting, and anything to do with my dog. Caught Inside is my first book-length project, and probably not the last.
